Authentic Images

Authentic images - For something new, I'm going to start a Film Friday post or two. Every Friday, I'll post an image captured on film, from the past or the present - and we'll see what happens! It's really a lot of fun to sift through older photographs, especially slides, have them scanned at a very high resolution and share them digitally. I hope you enjoy them smile emoticonHere's one to start...

Technical: Bash Bish Falls in the Berkshires, Mass. from around 1987 made on Kodachrome 64 slide film with a 1969 Nikon F and Nikkor 50mm /1.2 I'm sure the it was shot around f/8 and as slow a shutter speed as I could get. The slide was scanned on a Hasselblad X5 drum scanner at 8000ppi resolution. The resulting raw digital file is ~12,000 pixels tall. This is a final 5x7 crop from the original 35mm slide.
